Dorte Lindum is a Danish jazz singer and vocal coach based in Munich. She presents a diverse range of programmes – Cole Porter Grooves, From Swing to Sting, All Ella, and ChristmazzJazz – performed in various band constellations. Dorte embraces numerous musical styles including pop, classical music and folk, which enrich and add to her jazz expression. Rooted in the tradition of classic jazz she is always reaching for a contemporary expression with an emotional authenticity in her performances.
Dorte’s repertoire spans the heritage of the Great American Songbook, sophisticated pop-jazz interpretations and carefully curated thematic programmes and over the years she has worked, performed and/or recorded with numerous artists on the European scene (Roald Raschner, Philipp Stauber, Manolo Diaz, Geoff Goodman, Sven Faller, Matthias Gmelin, Henning Sieverts and Michael Keul). A main project is the Dorte Lindum JazzBase Quartet, founded in 2021, featuring Roald Raschner (piano), Markus Röder (double bass), and Philipp Hummel (drums). Together, they bring a grooving, contemporary perspective to jazz standards such as the legendary compositions of Cole Porter, while also exploring jazz takes on newer music
